Seed Capital Module launched by the Food Processing and Housing Ministry
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries along with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the Seed Capital Module under the PMFME Scheme.
The module has been launched on Deendayal Atyodaya Yojana- National Urban Livelihoods Mission MIS Portal for urban SHGs working in the food processing sector.
The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme.

DRDO conducts maiden flight test of Akash Prime Missile off Odisha Coast
DRDO has successfully conducted a maiden flight test of the new version of Akash Missile named ‘Akash Prime’.
The test was conducted from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
The Akash Prime is equipped with an indigenous active Radio Frequency (RF) seeker for improved accuracy.

Training and Capacity Building Program launched by NCW
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has launched country-wide training and capacity-building program for women in dairy farming.
The program has been launched to empower rural women and make them financially independent.
The first program under the project was organized on ‘Value Added Dairy Products’ for women SHGs at the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar in association with Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission.

Gurbirpal Singh appointed as the Director General of NCC
Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh has been appointed as the 34th Director-General of the National Cadet Corps recently.
Gurbirpal Singh has succeeded Tarun Kumar Aich as the Director-General of NCC.
Gurbirpal was commissioned into the Parachute Regiment in 1987 and commanded a Special Forces Batallion in Kashmir and the United Nations Interim Forces.

Norwegian Chess Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen was appointed as the Global Brand Ambassador of Mastercard.
Carlsen has joined other competitive player lineup of ambassadors like Lionel Messi, Naomi Osaka, Crystal Dunn, and Dan Carter.
Mastercard has also joined Meltwater Champions Chess Tour as an official partner in its first sponsorship move into chess.

Uttarakhand Forest Department sets up first Palmetum of the state
The Uttarakhand Forest Department inaugurated the first Palmetum of the state recently in Haldwani, Nainital.
The Palmetum is the biggest one in North India comprising 110 species of palms.
The Palmetum was developed over three years under the CAMPA scheme for INR 16 lakhs.
