Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat campaign for celebrating unity in diversity to start from today
The 18 day long Campaign being organised by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, will continue till February 28. Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat promotes the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian states and union territories and can build bonds between the people of various states of the country. The central idea behind Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is showcasing and highlighting the rich heritage and culture, cuisines, crafts, customs and traditions of 36 states and union territories.

Bangladesh beat India to win maiden U19 Cricket World Cup title
Bangladesh beat India by three wickets to win maiden ICC U-19 World Cup title in Potchefstroom, South Africa tonight by the Duckworth-Lewis method. First-time finalists Bangladesh emerged as the dark horse and beat South Africa and New Zealand in their journey to the finals. Bangladesh remained unbeaten in this tournament.

Guru Ravidas Jayanti celebrated across the country
Ravidas Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas, was celebrated across the country on Feb 9. Sant Ravidas was a 14th-century saint and founder of the Bhakti movement in North India. Lakhs of people converge at Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Asthan Mandir, Seer Goverdhanpur in Varanasi to celebrate his anniversary.

MP Governor Lalji Tandon inaugurates Hunar Haat in Indore
Hunar Haat is being organised till 16th February. Hunar Haat is an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional products made by artisans from the Minority communities. It is organized by Ministry of Minority Affairs. The scheme aims to establish Hunar Hub in all the states where programs like Hunar Haat and other cultural events are to be organized.
Quick Facts: Hunar Haat is organized under USTTAD-Upgrading the Skills and Training in Traditional Arts/Crafts for Development scheme.

Haryana defeated SAI 6-0 to win 10th Hockey Senior Women National Championship
Haryana thrashed Sports Authority of India (SAI) 6-0 to win the 10th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2020 (A Division) title at Kollam on Sunday. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy beat Hockey Maharashtra 2-1 in the third-fourth place play-off match.

The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) Red won the first Men’s section Khelo India Ice Hockey tournament 2020 by defeating Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
