MyGov India launches Planetarium Innovation Challenge
MyGov India has launched the ‘Planetarium Innovation Challenge for Indian start-ups and tech entrepreneurs.
The planetarium challenge was launched to bring together the tech firms and start-ups to build an indigenous planetariums system software.
The first, second, and third winners under this contest will respectively get cash prizes of five lakh, three lakh, and two lakh rupees.

Indian Railways launches ‘Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana’
Indian Railways leaped the advancement of Skill India Mission by launching the ‘Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana (RKVY)’ under PMKVY.
RKVY was launched by the Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The Mission will provide railway entry-level training in industry-relevant skills with the help of 75 Railway training institutes across India.

ISRO to develop reusable GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle
ISRO is working on technologies to develop a reusable GSLV Mk-III launch vehicle.
The new technology will help ISRO to land its GSLV Mk-III launch vehicles vertically similar to what Elon Musk’s SpaceX is doing.
The GSLV Mk-III was chosen as the launch vehicle for the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft and is a three-stage heavy-lift launch vehicle.

Ministry of Defense constitutes a High Level Expert Committee for NCC
The Ministry of Defense has constituted a 15 member High-Level Expert Committee for a comprehensive review of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
The Chairperson of the committee is former MP Baijayant Panda.
The committee will suggest measures to empower NCC cadets to contribute more effectively towards nation-building.

15th East Asia Summit Energy Ministers meeting
The 15th East Asia Summit Energy Ministers Meeting has been conducted virtually with Krishnan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Power.
The theme of the meeting is “We Care, We Prepare, We Prosper”.
The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts of the ASEAN countries in pursuing the goal of energy security and energy transition.

PFC issues India’s first-ever Euro Green Bond
Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has successfully issued its maiden Euro 300 million 7-year Euro Bond issuance.
It is the first-ever Euro-dominated green-bond issuance from India since 2017.
PFC is an Indian financial institution under the Ministry of Power.

Ayaan Shankta named as ‘2021 International Young Eco-Hero’
A 12-year-old environmental activist from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Ayaan Shankta has been named ‘2021 International Young Eco-Hero’.
He won the third prize under the age group of 8-14 for his project ‘Conservation and rehabilitation of Powai Lake’.
The award was presented by ‘The Action for Nature’, a San Francisco-based NGO that recognizes young people for their environmental achievements.
