Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission to be announced
PM Narendra Modi is set to announce the rollout of the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PM-DHM) across the nation on September 27th, 2021.
The scheme will be launched to harness technology to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of healthcare delivery across India.
A Unique digital health ID and a National digital health ecosystem will be created under the scheme.

Climate Indicators and Sustainable Development report released
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has published a new report titled “Climate Indicators and Sustainable Development: Demonstrating the Interconnections”.
The report highlights seven climate indicators impacting the SDGs- CO2 concentration, temperature, ocean acidification, ocean heat content, sea-ice extent, glacier mass balance, and sea-level rise.
The report aims to demonstrate the connections between global climate and SDGs.

Defense Ministry places 7500 crore order for 118 tanks
The Ministry of Defense has placed an order worth INR 7,523 crore to procure 118 Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) Arjun for the Indian Army.
The Defense Ministry placed this order with Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), Chennai to supply the 118 Arjun Mk-1A tanks.
The tank has been designed and developed by the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

WFP-ICRISAT sign agreement on Food Security
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) have signed an agreement on Food Security.
The MoU was signed on programs and research to improve food, nutrition security, and livelihoods across India.
WEP is a food-assistance wing of the United Nations and the world’s largest humanitarian organization.

UNICEF released its new report titled “Fed to Fail? The crisis of children’s diets in early life” recently.
According to the report, children aged under 2 are not getting the food or nutrients they need to thrive and grow well.
Rising poverty, conflict, inequality, climate-related disasters, and health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic are contributing to the nutrition crisis among those children.

This will be the 7th address to the General Assembly in person.

World’s Highest EV Charging Station inaugurated at Kaza in Himachal Pradesh
The world’s highest EV charging station has been inaugurated in Kaza village of Lahaul and Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh.
The electric vehicle charging station is set up at a height of 500 ft.
The objective of this initiative is to check vehicular pollution and promote electric vehicles for a clean and green environment.
