Supreme Court introduces FASTER system
The Supreme Court of India has introduced an electronic system named FASTER (Fast and Secured Transmission of Electronic Records).
The FASTER system will be used to transfer e-authentication copies from courts to prisons.
Under the FASTER system, courts can transfer e-authentication copies of bail orders, stay orders, interim orders, and proceedings through secured e-communication to duty officers at the prison.

Narendra Modi addresses 76th UNGA in New York
PM Narendra Modi addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York recently.
He was the first world leader to address the 76th session of UNGA.
The theme of the 2021 session of UNGA was “Building resilience through hope to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainability, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of the people and revitalize the UN”.

HDFC Bank the most outstanding company in India
According to the Asiamoney 2021 Poll, HDFC Bank has received the most votes listed among the listed companies in India declaring it the most outstanding company in India.
HDFC Bank has also received the title of the ‘Most Outstanding Company in India- Banking Sector’.
The poll, known as Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll, is designed to acknowledge listed companies that have excelled in areas such as financial performance, management team excellence, investor relations, and CSR initiatives.

This is the 100th Grand Prix win and his fifth win of the season and his first since the British Grand Prix in July.
Max Verstappen came second while Carlos Sainz Jr. came third in the Russian Grand Prix 2021.

Naga Cucumber from Nagaland gets Geographical Identification (GI) tag
Nagaland’s “sweet cucumber” was awarded a geographical identification (GI) tags as an agricultural product under provisions of The Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.
The cucumber is one of the most important crops in the Northeast region
Nagaland has the fifth-highest cultivation of cucumber and ranks third in production.

Jyothi Surekha Vennam wins silver medal at the World Archery Championship
Jyothi Surekha Vennam has won the silver medal in the women’s compound event at the World Archery Championship help in Yankton.
Sara Lopez of Colombia bagged the gold medal by defeating Jyothi by 146-144 in the finals.
Jyoti Surekha won two bronze medals at the 2011 Asian Archery Championship.
Quick Fact: The first Asian Archery Championship was held in India.

Noted women’s right activist and author, Kamla Bhasin passes away
Women’s rights activist and noted author, Kamla Bhasin (75 years) passed away battling cancer in Delhi.
She has authored several books, especially on gender theory and feminism.
She was best known for her work with Sangat- A Feminist Network and for her poem Kyunki main ladki hoon, Mujhe padhna hai.
