DU JAT Eligibility Criteria:
Keen on the courses above? That’s great! Now make sure you are eligible for sitting for this top management exam in India. Please read the eligibility criteria given below very, very carefully.
For applying for DU JAT, you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates of General and OBC categories must have secured at least 60% with English and Mathematics among core subjects in class 12. For SC/ST/CW/PwD candidates, this cut-off is 55%. The aggregate should be based on the marks in four papers – English, Mathematics, and any other two subjects provided by the Delhi University.
- Candidates, who have appeared in their final exams and their results are awaited, can also apply for the DU JAT exam. However, they will have to produce the qualifying certificate at the time of counselling.
- The candidate should have passed in all the above four subjects
- Applicants with “compartment” results are not eligible to apply.
- There is no minimum age bar for taking this test.
- Eligibility Criteria for merit-based admissions under the EWS category shall be similar to that of the UR category
DU JAT Criteria for Foreign Candidates
Foreign candidates seeking admission to the professional undergraduate programmes at Delhi University can apply separately on Foreign Students’ Registry website and can contact the Deputy Dean (Foreign Students’ Registry), Conference Centre, Delhi University.
DU JAT Admission Process:
- Fill the application form: Fill out personal and academic details along with providing your photograph and signature
- Pay application fees: Make payment via debit card/credit card/net banking. Fees for General/OBC/CW Category is Rs. 750, and for SC/ST/PwD/ESW Category is Rs. 300
- Download your Admit Card: Download DU JAT admit card by entering the form number and date of birth. This admit card is very important as it needs to be carried to the exam hall, so don’t forget!
- Appear for DU JAT exam: Appear for the two-hour test where you will be asked questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General English, and Business & General awareness
- Check your result: You can check your result online.
- Attend DU JAT counselling: A merit list of qualified candidates is published based on scores obtained in the entrance test as well as the marks of class XII. Counselling process may be conducted in multiple rounds subject to the availability of seats
DU JAT Selection Criteria:
Wait! DU JAT is not the only key to these courses. Once the result is announced the candidates are called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). You will be selected based on the rank you obtain calculated by taking into consideration the weighted average percentage score of the entrance test and the percentage score of the qualifying examination (Senior Secondary). The weightage of the entrance test is 65%, and of the qualifying exam is 35%. So your board exam marks are very important!

Filling DU JAT Application Form:
You can go to the official DU website and fill the DU JAT application form. The different steps involved are listed below:
1. DU JAT Registration and Logging In:
Visit the UG Admission Portal of the official website of Delhi University. Fill in details like your Full Name, Email ID, Phone Number, etc. After confirming your Email ID, you will be given a username and password using which you can log in to your account, where then you have to fill the DU JAT application form.
2. Filling the DU JAT Application Form:
Provide your personal details like category, family details, bank details, etc., and academic details. Double-check before submitting. Choose any 3 exam centers based on convenience and add any other extracurricular details. Choose Entrance Based exam out of the two categories given and select colleges according to your preferences.
3. Uploading the DU JAT Documents:
Upload all the necessary documents like photograph, signature, 10th and 12th-grade certificates, category documents, etc., according to the given format. Recheck all the details and submit the DU JAT form.
4. DU JAT Payment:
Payment can be done using the methods of UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/ Credit Card. Once payment is successful, take a printout of the application form.

DU JAT Exam Pattern:
DU JAT pattern can be understood as follows:
Mode: Online
Duration: 2 hours
Subjects: There are four subjects with usually 25 MCQs each. These subjects are:
- Quantitative Ability
- Reasoning and Analytical Ability
- General English
- Business and General Awareness
Total Questions: 100 questions
Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will get a score of +4 marks, each wrong answer will get a score of -1 mark.

Downloading DU JAT Admit Card
DU JAT Admit Card is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and not by Delhi University. Candidates can log into the NTA website with the DU JAT ID and Password in order to download the admit card. After logging in, the Admit Card is to be downloaded by providing your form number and date of birth. Usually, the downloading of Admit Cards are scheduled 15 days prior to the date of examination. AN Admit Card will contain the center, roll number, date, and timing of the examination for a candidate along with the examination rules.
Following are a few points for the candidate to remember in terms of Admit Cards:
- The Admit Card can be downloaded till the exam date.
- It will be available only in the online applicant account.
- The candidate should check the NTA DUET website regularly for any updates on the Admit Card.
- A good quality print-out of the Admit Card should be taken on A4 size paper.
- Check the details given in the Admit Card and in case of any discrepancies, contact helpline.
- The candidate should also carry a valid ID proof along with the Admit Card while entering the exam center.
