Course Structure of IPM Jammu
The duration of the IPM Jammu is five years, where the first three years of the IPM program would be based on the semester system and the last two years would be based on the trimester system. At the end of 1st year, students will undertake Boot Camp at Ladakh. In the 2nd Year, students will complete a Social and Corporate internship. During the 3rd year, the students will enroll in an international exchange program with one of the partner institutions based on merit and course norms. Additionally, in the 3rd Year of the program, students will have the option to select a sector-specific specialization. The course structure after the sixth semester will be merged with the flagship MBA program of the Institute and students will be required to meet the academic rigor of the MBA program. IPM Jammu Fee Structure
The course fee for resident Indians for the first three years of the IPM would be Rs. 4,85,000 per annum. The course fee for the fourth and fifth years would be as per the prevailing fees of MBAs. Library
IIM Jammu Library acts as a learning resource center for the IIM Jammu academic fraternity. The objective of the library is to facilitate appropriate and user-friendly access to current and relevant information to its patrons. The Library holds a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, E-Databases, E-journals, reports, case studies, etc. The library is subscribing to electronic resources like Elsevier Science Direct, Emerald Management E-Journals, EBSCO Business Source Complete, ABI Inform (ProQuest), Bloomberg Terminal, ACE Equity Databases, CMIE- ProwessIQ, and indiastat.com. IIMJ Library is a fully computerized library using Open Source Software KOHA-LMS for its housekeeping operations. The Library offers convenient campus-wide access to digital resources through its subscription to e-databases & e-journals and also facilitates finds out the real-time availability of library materials from their own computer terminals.
Computer Centre
IIM Jammu Computer Centre has a fast and reliable computer network of more than 500 devices. Institute has 40Mbps to 1 GBps Internet leased line connectivity. All the Hostels, Faculty Blocks, Administrative blocks, Classrooms, Library, LAB, and Sports areas are connected through wired and Wi-Fi connectivity. All the blocks are connected through L2 & L3 switches (all the switches are linked through OFC) to provide connectivity at the user end. Three High-end Servers are used for computing and networking tasks. A firewall and Squid Proxy Server are used for access control. Three classrooms have a seating capacity of 100 students and have two projectors with the audio system classes. Every faculty and office room has a dedicated LAN connection on the Institute’s network to provide round-the-clock access to resources on the internet. The wireless network is also enabled in the Mess, Bank, and Security Blocks.
