About Symbiosis Law School
Symbiosis Law School is a constituent college of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) which was established in 1977. It is one of the premier law institutes of India and has six Centers of Specialization in Public Law & Governance, Private Laws, Transnational & Global Legal Studies, Corporate Laws, Justice Education and Technology & Innovation Laws. It has been ranked seventh in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework in 2019.
Four law colleges come under the umbrella of Symbiosis International University:

- Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad, and
- Symbiosis Law School Nagpur
About the course
SLS offers two 5 year long undergraduate courses in law, namely Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws (BB.A. LL.B) (Hons.) and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LL.B) (Hons.) programmes. It is recommended that candidates who have studied Arts/Social Sciences in high school pursue B.A. LL.B (Hons.), while candidates who have studied Commerce/Accounts/Mathematics/Sciences pursue BB.A LL.B (Hons.) programme. However, candidates may apply for either or both courses as per their preference. Both programmes differ only in the first Degree contents, having either Humanities or Business Studies, but the law component remains the same.

Marking Scheme
There is no negative marking in the exam
Written Aptitude Test (WAT)
The WAT is a written aptitude test where you have to write an essay on a topic in around 800-1000 words. 4-5 general yet thought-provoking topics are provided, out of which you have to choose one.
Personal Interview (PI)
The PI is a personal interview where the interview panel will ask you about your curriculum vitae, qualifications and extra-curricular activities in academic life.
Both SLAT and WI-PAT have equal weightage in the final merit list of selected candidates.

Admission Process
- Register online: Register online at www.set-test.org
- Upload documents: Upload the latest scanned passport photograph
- Fill the application form: Enter correct personal, educational and contact details
- Pay the application fees: Registration fees is Rs. 1750 for students. The fees is payable online only, through debit/credit cards and net banking
- Select institute and programme: Select the institute and programme you would like to apply for.
- Pay Registration fees: The registration fee for each programme is Rs. 1000.
- Generate details, admit card and print application form and admit card: Download and print your application form!
- Appear for the exam: Appear for your exam. Don’t forget to carry your application form signed by guardians, originals and photocopies of class Xth and XIIth mark sheets, transfer certificates, migration certificates and a photo ID!
- Check results: Check your results on the official website.
- PI-WAT round: Go in for Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT) rounds once you qualify in the SLAT
